TOURS FROM JULY 4TH

Coronavirus (Covid -19) update – please read in full

Following Government advice, we are permitted to resume guided tours for individuals, couples or small groups from 4th July 2020.  We care about safety, and have put the following strategies in place to prevent the transmission of Covid-19:

  • We only offer private tours. You will not be mixed in a group with strangers.

  • Until further notice we will limit groups to a maximum of 12 people, including children. Please ensure that all members of your group are allowed to share your "bubble" according to the latest Government advice.

  • Guides will not wear face coverings but will remain at 1m+ distance from the group. Visitors are welcome to wear face coverings if they wish.

  • Guides will not shake hands with visitors. Hand sanitiser will be available on request.

  • We ask groups to cancel in case of diagnosis with Covid 19, if you have been in contact with a confirmed case of Covid 19 within 14 days prior to the tour or are experiencing symptoms related to Covid 19 . All payment will be refunded.

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to norm

  • If your guide develops any of the symptoms described above, an alternative guide will be found or the tour will be cancelled with full refund.

  • Payment in cash is not recommended. We request payment by online bank transfer at least 24 hours before the tour start of the tour

  • The colleges of the University of Cambridge are currently closed to visitors until further notice. However there is much to discover in this beautiful city and we have wonderful stories to share with you.

  • Finally all Cambridge on Foot guides are official Cambridge guides who have passed Institute of Tourist Guiding examinations and have been trained to a high standard to care for the welfare and safety of all tour groups. As members of the Society of Cambridge Tour Guides we all hold public liability insurance, however this does not cover the risk of Covid-19 infection. Whilst guides take all possible precautions, please be aware that participation in a guided tour is taken at your own risk.
