At Cambridge on Foot we take great pride in our customer service. Here are some reviews from recent tours we have conducted around Cambridge.

Our walking group treated ourselves to a tour of Cambridge as, although being locals, none of us had been on one before. Lizzie Griggs was our tour guide, she was a fabulous guide, making the tour very interesting. She was full of facts, stories and anecdotes. We loved it! We learnt so many new things we never knew about Cambridge, it was like visiting a different town. Thank you Lizzie!

Thank you Lizzie, we thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour, being a group of Kiwis we found the history of Cambridge and the Colleges so interesting. You provided just the right amount of facts, intermingled with some very amusing anecdotes and you were so patient answering my husband’s many questions!   Robyn A  New Zealand

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour of Cambridge we went on today.  Dick kept our attention throughout, mixing interesting and amusing snippets along with his impressive knowledge of the history of Cambridge and the colleges.  We came away feeling we'd had a most enjoyable and educational morning - thank you Dick.   Helen F, Kidderminster

I invited my cousins to join my family of five on a Cambridge on Foot tour led by Jo Sharpington last November.  We live in Cambridge, but were able to learn an enormous amount from our guide.  My cousins were visiting us and said that the tour gave them a fascinating potted history of the town, offering juicy historical insights, and discovering nooks and crannies that they would never have found on their own.  From the early days of Cambridge as a port, to the introduction of the University Colleges through to the present day, we followed in the footsteps of the town's residents through the ages.  Our guide led us knowledgeably around the town, and tailored the tour to our interests.  The children (aged 8 to 13 years) particularly enjoyed learning about Cambridge in its early days and my 8 year old boy said "I loved learning about the olden days - it was really good and I wish we could do it again".  We definitely will do it again!  Roly S, Impington

My wife and I had the pleasure of taking a tour which was so ably led by Ms. Jo Sharpington. It was readily apparent that she was expert in her knowledge of Cambridge. She was very patient with any questions we had and had a good sense of humor. I would recommend her to anyone and if we have the good fortune of returning someday with our family, I would look forward to enlisting her professional services once again. These tours are a wonderful insight into the background and history of some of the colleges and the many other places of interest that Cambridge has to offer, with lots of exciting titbits of information to keep you fascinated throughout the tour. Jo was extremely knowledgeable and provided comprehensive and detailed explanations of how these magnificent establishments have come about and she was also able to cleverly link these into what else was happening in the various periods of history in general, making the whole experience enlightening and captivating. Highly recommended and I'll be booking another one in the near future.   Helen M Cambridge

I have lived in Cambridge for 30 years but there is still so much I don't know about the City and its history. I have been on two of Jo's tours, both in the City centre. We walked different routes and visited different colleges each time.  Jo's tour was entertaining, interesting and well suited to each group.  A way to effortlessly learn some history! Jo offers personal tours, and we have given one as a birthday gift to some friends.  It would make a lovely Christmas present!   Jo C, Cambridge

Dear Jo, We had an extremely enjoyable day and all the group were very complimentary about the walking tour. We loved all the information and felt you had pitched it just right. I will definitely recommend you and hope to see you again on another tour.   Hannah A, Cambridge
